She's REALLY turning over now!!

We are in HAWAII!! Maile is loving the weather and the new faces to look at. We are staying with the Aina's for now, My Uncle Randy, Aunty Cathy and cousins Nick and Charlotte. Nick was talking with Maile as she was laying on a blanket on the ground...trying to get her to turn over towards him...no such luck. The next day he was at the hospital (getting closer to his degree in nursing...) and she rolled over!!! She was again on the blanket and I was sitting next to her reading a news paper article..and I heard her "talking" to her self and it sounded a little different..maybe a little higher? (closer to me, I guess) and moved the newspaper out of the way and there she was on her belly! Now she just keeps doing it. She just gets that momentum going and turns herself over and acts as though she's on top of the world...so excited to be on her belly!

A couple of weeks ago she started on baby foods! We went to her 4 month appt and in addition to her vaccinations the dr gave us the go ahead for solid foods!! So we went right out and got the spoons, bowls and the food! She started with Green Beans for three days, then Peas for three days and so on. Some of her favorites were Peas, Squash and Bananas. Not so favorites were Peaches! Maybe they were too tart for her. With every new flavor she makes this funky face as though she dosen't like it..but with each next bite she begins to relax and likes it more.

More pictures will follow...as soon as I remember to take my camera out and take them. It's been soooooooo nice here that I haven't really wanted to do anything but relax and take in the great breeze!
