Maile made dinner the other night... Here are a few pictures...she made English muffin pizzas... Doesn't she look sooooo PROUD?

Here we are another week down and I ALMOST didn't blog....so here we go...

I cannot believe that my Baby is already one...she is growing up sooo fast, a few things to note of this week....

She can give kisses, yes they are quite ugly complete open mouth and all, but they are still kisses,
Leigha can also "blow kisses" she'll put her hand up to her mouth and get all excited....
She is also trying to play peek a boo......she puts her hand to her eye and leaves it there when you say "peek a boo"
and.....her HAIR is GROWING!!!! Finally! We can either put one or two small pony tails in her hair...not a lot but atleast its a start!!

Week three of blogging...SUCCESS!!

Been a LONG while!!!

Just wanted to say we are still around! I am making it my goal to Post EVERY week...at least once a week...lets see how far into 2011 I make.

Well this weekend we had Leigha's 1st birthday party. Being so close to christmas, this mama did not plan well or large. We went to Cici's Pizza, yes I said Cici's! We had a great time! It was mainly the Vitz side of the family, since my side was either working or sick, we ate pizza and had cake, and i didn't have to clean a SINGLE bit! It was great! Leigha loved her cream cheese and carrot cake cupcake, everyone else had chocolate.

As soon as I can upload pictures I will! a little over one week (well actually 14 days in ) and one post down...lets see how well I do!

Maile's First Movie at the Theater

We took Maile to see Toy Story 3, we met her Aunt Stacy, Uncle Truck (Trent) and Cousins Kahla and Ean. We went on July 5 and had a great time......until the last 20 min. Maile was done and wanted to go potty every 5 min, and once she was done, Leigha was hungry. Other wise we had a great time!!

Maile absolutely LOVES her sister!!! this is a very common occurance around our house...she is always kissing her and wanting to hold her, and hug and love on her.

I hope they'll be like this for the res of their lives!!

Maile.....Double Ear Infections!!!

So this past week we took Maile into the doctors office...she had been REALLY cranky and had a gunky nose and a bad cough...at first i thought maybe allergies, since everything was blooming here and i also thought maybe it was from being back at school...then i thought lets try to clean her ear out...when she gets a lot of wax in there she tends to get crabby..i went to clean it and she threw a fit and wouldn't even let me near her ear...and she had a 103 degree fever...so in we went.....and came out with antibiotic and ear drops!!

Can't wait till she's back to her fun crazy self!!

Leigha Grace Kahealani

Leigha was born 01/07/10 at 10:10 pm...That day at about 11 am I was shopping at Walmart for my job...and i started to feel some pains....i thought okay...maybe its just cause i'm walking around WALMART at 37 almost 38 weeks....lets see if i still feel it later....fast forward to 3:30 I'm on a bus run for work...and I am still feeling pains...so i call my drs office and get some lady i don't know asking me if they are every 15 min apart, and if so then to go to the hospital and the nurses will monitor me and call the dr...i told the lady several times, that I don't know if they are even CONTRACTIONS and I'm a SCHEDULED C SECTION and I just want to know if MY dr is the one on call......SEVERAL times i told her this and she REPEATED herself and the whole 15 min and all that jazz....so i said to her....SO your telling me that you aren't going to tell my dr/drs nurse i called and IF they are every 15 min THEN i need to do something about it...and then I think i hung up...don't remember if she gave me a response.....about 10-15 min later...my dr, HIMSELF calls and says..."soooo...whats going on?" and makes it all better....tells me to go to the hospital and they'll call him once they've evaluated me...so that was around 4-4:15..I figure it's false contractions, and i'll finish work (off at 6:30pm) and get Maile to her aunt/uncle's house and have seth meet me at home so we can go to the hospital together..

We get there around 7:30pm they hook me up and I am having contractions, they are about every 5 min apart....so they try to give me some fluids cause i think i might be dehydrated....that slows them down to 10 min....so they call the doctor and he says it's time, we'll go ahead with the c section. He is there within 30 min and we are getting prepped and ready and in the OR by like 9:45 and Leigha was born at 10:10. Amazing how FAST everything happened...Maile was a Scheduled C Section so we had time to prepare and I had a nice shower before..had my hair and makeup ready for my after pictures....I was so exhausted after Leigha was born I think I might have cat napped while they were closing me back up!! (They said that was alright...i was a little nervous that something was wrong with me, but they said that it was normal) Since she was a little thing they did take her to the Nursery to get her cleaned up and checked and poked and prodded and all that good stuff.....but within a little bit they brought her to my room and she has never left our side since!!

Soooooo were BACK!!

It's been FOREVER since a post from us.....as you last saw we were expecting a new addition to our family. We are now a family of 4!! It's amazing and stressful and crazy all at the same time!

and now on to the Marathon of postings!

soooo....some exciting news!!!

We are expecting our 2nd baby girl!!! She should be here around Jan 22.

Still thinking of names...so any suggestions send them our way!

when i'm not in the in between chubby and preggers stage i'll post belly pics...especially since there have been some on facebook begging for them...hint taken TT.

So think of a name that goes with Maile. We have one....but it hasn't been a hit when we've thrown it out there.

Maile turns two!

Maile is now two...and potty training.

So far she'll go once or twice a day..especially at school...however at home she's a little more shy.

She has Elmo goes potty, and when she watches this she'll go in her potty. When Daddy and i aren't around. She'll come running out and tell us.."potty?" like she thinks she did something. Or she'll say "i pee pee pottyd"

Her 2nd birthday party was very low key...pizza and cake at home and cupcakes at school. Her favorite part were the cupcakes. She kept seeing them and saying "MY upcakes".

This picture is for my Uncle Randy and Aunty Cathy.....they went to San Francisco in 2007 and brought this outfit back for Maile. I wore one similar to there wedding, when I was about the same age as Maile.

so.....we're still here

i really would like to update this more often....yet.....we've just been so busy trying to get better....and ok i've been a little lazy too. With trying to get maile better i'd rather use my time to SLEEP...or read or relax in a nice hot BATH!

so here's the update....almost two weeks ago Maile was acting kinda funny. She would lay her head down on your shoulder or put her ear to her shoulder, or put her hand to her ear. So i thought , another ear infection. She had been doing it for a few days, started friday and continued through sunday. So monday I made an appt with the dr. We came in and they said we'll take a rsv swab, i guess its that time of the year? and we'll wait on those results, then the dr comes in and checks her says that she does have redness and irritation in her ear, so we'll do a antibiotic...ok...then the nurse comes in and says that the rsv test was positive....NO WAY. All of her other appts, they've tested her and tested her and they have ALWAYS been negative. But Luckily we caught it way early...she had just started to have a fever and was going down hill fast from there. So with that diagnosis, Maile had to stay home from school ALL week. And so did mommy. Other than the 1/2 day her tutu watched her, and daddy's wednesday off.

What a FUN time that was. Maile was pretty good, other than being clingy, and a little whiny. But I felt sooooo....bad for her. She had a temp of 101, with alternating motrin and tylenol, her fever would sit at around 99. For almost 3 days this is how we lived..maile wearing only a diaper. And when her fever scared the crap out of me...102 with motrin and wearing only a diaper... I threw her in the bathtub full of lukewarm water and she played with her bath toys and it DRAMATICALLY brought her fever down and she was my happy baby girl again!!

By Sunday she was definately on the road to recovery and on monday she was back at school!! Yea!!! Her teachers said they missed her, the life of the party was definately missed. Maile has them all wrapped around her little finger. Can't blame'um though, she definately rulles the roost around here.

it's been a LONG while since i last posted...

What a busy time we've had....since our last post we have had many visits to the doctor, where as of now we still don't know really what is causing her cough, maybe allergies or bronchitis...hopefully we will find out as soon as her labwork comes back. Yes, LABWORK!! We had to take her in for blood tests, three times..they can only take so much from babys at one time. So the first time we take her and the lady gets a little out of one arm, and then it stops, so they call another guy in and he is able to get all they need, while Maile is trying to jump and wriggle from my arms. After they are done daddy holds her and she is happy, still a little upset, but happy its over. Fast forward a few days, we go back for round 2, and this time we request the guy who did such a great job last time. They say "oh the other guy loves babies and he'll be great..." NOPE!!! it was worse than the last time, daddy held her this time and he thought he was gonna rip her arm off, or that he'd bruised her and it was the worst experience of my life, and he wasn't going to do it again, the guy couldn't find it and he bruised her arm pretty bad. So the lady who checked us in tells us "next time we'll make sure you get chad..." chad being the guy who did so well llthe last time. fast forward some more, we go in for the final time, we get chad and it goes pretty painlessly and finally, hopefully we'll figure out whats causing her cough.

I think it might be allergies, since after we do breathing treatments for a while she gets better, then we'll go somewhere with lots of dust or hairy dogs or outside with lots of allergens floating around and her cough gets worse!! Hopefully we'll have an answer soon!

Maile's 1st and 2nd sick baby visits:(

So...now that Maile is in daycare, she is getting all the common stuff kids get.

We went to visit the room on a tuesday, and wednesday she had her 12 month well baby check, and dr garcia says " I love to see charts like this...well baby, well baby, all well baby checks!" I then said " well she's starting daycare tommorrow.." and she said "well there went that! I knew I just jinxed us!" and sure enough..that night Maile starts with a runny nose, which I thought was because of the shots...nope!

Mailes first two days were horrible for everyone! She was so sick....friday her teacher Ms. Susie says I think she has Croup..over a day and a half she had developed a seal like cough, so I call her dr's office and they thank goodness are open for patients till 8pm and open on Saturdays at one of their locations, So they make her an appointment for Sat in the morning. The nurse practioner says yes she had croup, we'll give her a shot and a prescription for a steroid and a preventive medicine for allergies and asthma (singulair-which she gets with applesauce)..within a hour Maile is better...somewhat. They said the cough would/could last awhile.

Ok all is good now right? Nope, Maile is good for a day...Monday her teacher tells me she's been crying all day, and she thought maybe something was hurting her, she seemed like she might have some pain.....I had to go watch a movie so I could get my Healthcard, and maile went to Aunty Stacy's house, where she usually LOVES to be. This time she only wanted aunty stacy, and was really tired and just NOT herself. I thought she was just tired since she didn't sleep at daycare. Cut to 3 o'clock in the morning....maile is crying and BURNING up!!! yet she's shivering too...i give her some motrin (which is really the only thing that works, tylenol does not) and we get more sleep. Then she's up almost every hour, not getting a bit of restful sleep. I call the dr and they get her in that morning, after me showing up to work (for my 4th day mind you) and telling them she's sick and I can't come in...then I go and Dr Garcia(and all the nurses) are suprised to see her again, and she says shes got an ear infection and she'll need antibiotics.

You can tell the medicine works, she laughs a little and her eyes clear and shes better for about 11 hours, then its almost time for more meds. So wish us well, that we'll be able to get through this first bit of sicknesses.

I got a JOB!!

So I've rejoined the working class!!

I have started at a daycare where Maile can attend as well.

I never thought it would be this HARD! Maile is in a room on the other side of the building, and it almost kills me to know shes in the building, yet I can't be there to see her and hold her and help her make friends....it probably hurts me more than it does her.

Maile's 1st birthday part 2

Maile's 1st birthday-part 2...Tutu threw Maile a party at Peter Piper Pizza, she got us pizza and cupcakes too! Again Maile loved them...can't you tell. Luckily they were mini cupcakes, but Maile still got it into BOTH of her hands. That was fun, trying to get all the icing off of her. But Maile loved it and thats all that mattered.

We bought a few tokens and Maile got to ride in the Clifford the Big Red Dog ride, it was the only thing she was able to do there. Seth and I played Ski ball, and a round of basketball, I beat him all of the times we played! Even at Basketball!!! I got on a roll and made 20 baskets!! Seth only made 19...hehe! And he didn't even let me cheat or try to let me win. He was really upset that I beat him. It was pretty exciting for me though!

Maile's 1st Birthday-Part 1

We are having multiple parties for Maile's 1st birthday...the first was last sunday the 24th of August, at the Henderson Multigenerational Center, with our friends. There is a activity pool outside and you can have a Cool Pool Party.

There were about 20 of us there and we ate pizza, strawberries and grapes, along with CUPCAKES!!

Maile loved hers, as you can tell. The cake got EVERYWHERE! But thats what 1st birthdays are for right?

We are having a Family Birthday party on Maile's actual birthday, the 31st. And we had a party with her Tutu , Uncle Tyler and Auntie Cori at Peter Piper Pizza too. What a lucky girl to have THREE parties!
